تعارف

ابتدائی زندگی

حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کی ولادت مکہ مکرمہ میں ہوئی۔ آپ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی کفالت میں پرورش پائی، اسی وجہ سے بچپن ہی سے آپ کے اخلاق، کردار اور ایمان بے مثال تھے۔

قبولِ اسلام

حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سب سے پہلے اسلام قبول کرنے والے بچوں میں شامل ہیں۔ آپ نے کسی بت کے سامنے سجدہ نہیں کیا اور اپنی پوری زندگی اللہ تعالیٰ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کی اطاعت میں گزاری۔

ہجرت کی رات عظیم قربانی

جب کفار نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو شہید کرنے کا منصوبہ بنایا تو آپ ﷺ نے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو اپنے بستر پر سونے کا حکم دیا۔ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنی جان کی پروا کیے بغیر یہ حکم قبول کیا۔ یہ واقعہ آپ کی بے مثال بہادری اور رسول اللہ ﷺ سے محبت کی روشن دلیل ہے۔

غزوات میں شجاعت

حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے غزوۂ بدر، احد، خندق، خیبر اور دیگر اہم معرکوں میں غیر معمولی بہادری کا مظاہرہ کیا۔

غزوۂ خیبر کے موقع پر رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:

"میں کل یہ جھنڈا ایسے شخص کو دوں گا جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے محبت کرتا ہے اور اللہ اور اس کا رسول بھی اس سے محبت کرتے ہیں۔"

اگلے دن یہ جھنڈا حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیا گیا، اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کے ہاتھوں فتح عطا فرمائی۔

علم و حکمت

حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ علم و حکمت کا خزانہ تھے۔ آپ کے فیصلے عدل و انصاف پر مبنی ہوتے تھے۔ صحابۂ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم مشکل مسائل میں آپ سے رہنمائی لیتے تھے۔

آپ کا مشہور قول ہے:

"لوگوں کے ساتھ ایسے رہو کہ اگر تم زندہ رہو تو وہ تم سے محبت کریں، اور اگر وفات پا جاؤ تو وہ تم پر افسوس کریں۔"

دورِ خلافت

حضرت عثمان غنی رضی اللہ عنہ کی شہادت کے بعد آپ مسلمانوں کے چوتھے خلیفہ منتخب ہوئے۔ اگرچہ آپ کے دور میں کئی آزمائشیں آئیں، لیکن آپ نے ہمیشہ عدل، حق اور دین کی سربلندی کو مقدم رکھا۔

سادہ زندگی

اتنی بڑی اسلامی سلطنت کے حکمران ہونے کے باوجود آپ نہایت سادہ زندگی گزارتے تھے۔ غریبوں، یتیموں اور مسکینوں کی مدد کرنا آپ کا معمول تھا۔

شہادت

17 رمضان المبارک 40 ہجری کو مسجدِ کوفہ میں فجر کی نماز کے لیے جاتے ہوئے ایک خارجی نے آپ پر حملہ کیا، جس کے نتیجے میں آپ شہید ہوگئے۔ آپ کی شہادت امتِ مسلمہ کے لیے ایک عظیم سانحہ تھی۔
